Meet Red and Truvy.
An RV owner, just like you.
A love of RV travel, a little hands-on learning, and a four-legged copilot. That's how this journey started.
RV owner. Certified technician.It started with
a camping trip.
A few camping trips with a friend got me hooked on RV travel. Here was a way to see more of the country at my own pace—with Truvy along for the ride.
In August 2023, I bought a 2018 Jayco Precept. Learning to drive it and care for it became part of the adventure. What started as looking after my own RV grew into wanting to help others enjoy theirs.
Hands-on learning
Turning curiosity
into a calling.
My own RV brought me to the National RV Training Academy. Helping others gave me a reason to keep learning.
It began with a week of hands-on fundamentals: RV air conditioners, water heaters, furnaces, and absorption refrigerators. Learning how those systems work gave me a foundation to build on.

A home on wheels
I bought my Jayco Precept in August and started learning what it takes to care for an RV.
- 2024
A new direction
After NRVTA fundamentals training and testing to become a registered technician, I started Red's RV Repair to go in August 2024.
- 2025
Certified and continuing
I returned to NRVTA for four additional weeks of coursework and earned my RV technician certification.
The four-legged copilot
Meet Truvy.
Truvy is my fur baby and travel companion, sharing the journey wherever the RV takes us. She loves meeting new dogs and making friends along the way.
And I'm a dog person, too. If you have a fur baby, I'm coming to give them pets!
